What this category covers

How agencies are listed

The vault lists agencies in alphabetical order. You can narrow a list by category, service, industry or region; nothing else changes the order. There are no scores, grades, stars, badges or featured places, and no agency pays to be listed, to be listed sooner or to be described differently.

Every fact in an entry comes from the agency's own website: its home page and pages such as about, services, work, pricing and offices. We read those pages on the date shown on the entry. For each statement, the record keeps the address of the page and a passage copied from it word for word, and software checks that the passage is on that page before the statement is published. A statement whose passage cannot be found is left out.

Each entry may carry a short note headed "Who it fits". It is our reading of who the agency's own pages say it serves: company stage and size, industries, the problems it says it takes on, and how a client engages. It is labelled as opinion on the page. It never recommends an agency, never compares one agency with another and names no other company.

The full method, including how an agency claims or corrects its entry, is on How the agency vault works.
