Our take Opinion

The Founder and CEO at AppSumo raises how auditing a booking page on a phone, tap by tap, can reveal friction that desktop-minded design misses. A reader can take from it a cheap, repeatable review: ask an AI model to act as a first-time visitor, list the hesitation points, then test the changes against live traffic. The post says the fix moved the times to the opening screen, folded the description away, and dropped one toggle, which lifted bookings slightly. Small teams with a single conversion page and mostly phone visitors could run the same exercise. The evidence is one product, one page and one test, and the gain was modest, so it may not carry over to checkouts, longer forms or audiences who mostly use desktops.
